Welcome to Color Run!

Information about our July 25 and August 29 Gymkhanas have been added to the Upcoming Events Page.

We have added the August 29 Gymkhana to our calendar to replace the June 6 date, which was rained out.

In addition to posting information here on our website, we will be sending email notification and reminders of our events as the dates get closer. If you are not currently receiving our notifications, and would like to, please send me an email at ColorRun@nycap.rr.com, and I will include your email on our mailing list. I do not give away any email address information, and your address is not exposed on any communication from Color Run - we use a mail merge program which does not produce a long list of exposed addressees.

The website project will be a work in progress for some time, while we continue to update our Gymkhana schedule and post other useful information.

At present, Gymkhana dates for 2010 are posted on the Upcoming Events page. Detailed information about the individual Gymkhanas is available by clicking on the date on the Upcoming Events page. As the remaining dates get closer, we'll post the events list for those, as well. On the Gymkhana Information page, you can find downloadable forms and other useful information. I recently added a page of pattern descriptions, as well.

While the website is relatively new to us, some things won't change. We will continue to host Gymkhanas that are well organized, move right along, and are, most important, fun for both competitors and spectators.

Our Gymkhanas will continue to follow the same format: We will run five pointed events, including Pole Bending, Cloverleaf barrels, Keyhole, one "speed" event, and one "turning and bending" event. These will be followed by a Pairs event, a Jackpot event, and one "fun" event to round out the day. (Just to make it interesting, though, we will probably deviate from that pattern in the July Gymkhana again this year - more Pairs events and more "interesting" events!)
